Triple Chocolate Tres Leches Cake by Anju Kapoor

This Triple Chocolate Tres Leches Cake is so easy to make, has layers of deliciousness and screams flavor. Make this cake today to impress your special someone or family on Valentine’s Day or any other day! 

Ingredients 

FOR CAKE 

1 and 1/2 cup flour 

2 eggs 

1 teaspoon vanilla 

1 cup sugar 

1/2 teaspoon baking powder 

2 tablespoon oil 

1 tablespoon Scharffen Berger cocoa powder  

1 tablespoon water 

1/4 cup melted chocolate Scharffen Berger 62% Semisweet Baking Portions 

Oil to spray  

FOR CHOCOLATE MOUSSE 

1 & 1/2 cups heavy cream 

3/4 cup Scharffen Berger 62% Semisweet Chocolate Chunks or chopped Baking Portions 

2 tablespoon condensed milk. 

FOR CHOCOLATE MILK 

1 cup whole milk 

1 tablespoon cocoa powder 

2 tablespoons condensed milk 

1/2 cup half and half 

30 gm Scharffen Berger 62% Semisweet Chocolate Chunks 

Few strawberries for garnish 

Instructions

CHOCOLATE CAKE 

Combine flour, baking powder and sugar in a bowl and then add oil, cocoa powder, eggs, and melted chocolate, vanilla and mix everything well. Now pour in a 13” x 9” pan sprayed with some oil and bake it for 30 to 35 minutes until a toothpick comes clean. Put it aside to cool. 

CHOCOLATE MOUSSE 

Bring heavy cream to a boil and then turn off the heat and add chocolate and condensed milk. Mix everything well and keep it aside. In a few minutes it will become thick. 

CHOCOLATE MILK 

Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan and blend while heating. Keep it aside to come to room temperature. 

Now pierce a few holes in the cake with a fork and pour the chocolate milk over the cake. Then top it with the chocolate mousse. Even it out with a spatula and then shave some dark chocolate on top and garnish with fresh strawberries, and your delicious Triple Chocolate Tres Leches Cake is ready to enjoy!
